Last Saturday I began a class for administration of justice. The teacher who runs it is...interesting. One our first day she taught us the cardnial rules for surviving a career in law enforcment.
The first is the law of CYA, and it is followed quickly by the principle of "Oh contraire, mon sherrie"
Basically she is encourageing the future protectors of the our proud city to be obsessive horders. To keep everything lest we be called forth to give testimony of our activities and response to the grave situations of lost homework or traitorious fellow scholars who call plagerism. So we may say "Oh contraire, mon sherrie" and present our evidence before the court.
Next is the Rule of Engagment. When you are offered a good plea deal, take it. Or you will end up like her brother who instead of a year of monitored probation got twenty. Yup, fun stuff. The accompaniment to this is the "When $#!* hits the fan" clause. Basically this is the art of sycophantism and putting blame on someone else.
The last thing that she made abudently clear is this. and get ready because this is a complicated one.
Don't be a defense Lawyer.
That's it...five and a half hours on Saturday morning and several hundred dollars of tution i've just saved everyone right there. Thank's as always for reading.
XD This is most amusing actually...
ReplyDeleteI think each teacher who is passionate about their subject will have their own quirks.
...My anatomy teacher is an example of this. She keeps the dead frogs and featal pigs, which will be dissected in the future, in the freezer, right next to her 5 year old daughter's ice cream.
